I got this for my adult piano student who is just learning how to play hymns from the Celebration Hymnbook; she didn't like playing from the book. I looked on Amazon for a spiral bound - it was $600, I've bought used cars for less than that!. Anyway, when I came across this, at only $20 or so, I knew this would work for her. First of all, the Celebration Hymnal is great because it's got >800 hymns, worship songs, and church service ideas. Second, this format is easier not just because loose pages are better for piano use, but also she can more easily make a more readable copy if she needs to*. I recommend a sturdy box to put the pile in, and then getting plastic sleeves and a 3-ring binder for the copies you make from them, so they will last longer. I know my student is going to like this format, I only wish that it came with a perfect box to keep it in and that the pages you get were actually 8 1/2" x 11" instead of hymnal size, hence the 4 stars. *FYI, It is within copyright law to make a copy of music for ease of playing.

This loose leafe hymnal was exactly what I needed. I was finding it harder to hunt down good music on the internet and decided it would be better to have a large collection like this on hand. Truly the selections are great. The fact that you can put the sheets in your own music binder on a music stand is a big plus. I recommend a box or something to keep the large stack of paper in. Pulling sheets out as you need them works great for me. It just beats spending a long time on the internet finding sheet music to just have it all in a box ready for you to pull out. The collection is highly recommended.

This product is simply the hymnal without binding. It is the same size as the regular hymnal and is not hole-punched. I purchased to use at the organ. I can pull songs to play for preludes, etc., and tape them together with removable tape so switching songs is seamless. No flipping pages or propping the book open. (Being taped, it is also easy to quickly put up and take down multiple pages at once.) Loose-leaf format works great for this purpose.

I needed a smaller loose leaf hymnal for the organ. I play for church and I have the large accompaniment hymnal but it is too big to handle and I need to quickly turn pages when we have hymn sings. I punched holes and I had to find a binder . After looking for a binder for these smaller pages I discovered another loose leaf hymnal binder at church that would work .I suggest a Celebration loose leaf hymnal with pages an inch longer and a binder to go with it .

Loose pages enable me to put single page on music stand easily.Main problem is now I need to punch holes in all of them to put them in a binder.

While the packet does indeed contain a "loose leaf" version of this hymnal, the print quality was very poor. I needed this to be able to have a sheet of music that lays flat on the organ, but the print quality is so poor I have to copy the page using the "dark" setting on my copier to get enough print quality to use.

The copy we received had no left margin and is impossible to bind. Now we'll have to reprint each page individually for use.

I needed a Hymnal like the one our church has so I could go over the songs each week before Sunday. I will enjoy it as there are a lot of songs in there that I am not familiar with.

Not really detailed, was expecting a little more

Easy to read potted history of the Romanovs. Enjoyed the machinations of power and politics. The power of many of the women of Russia also became obvious and seemed to be incongruous with the society of the day. Some things never change. Also confirmed a Russian "culture", including Putin's attitudes and actions which are obvious even today. A short and very good read.

Blue, a successful man in the business world, educated, obviously talented considering his success, finds that the cog-wheel-existence of mediocrity, the dream-life offered in his home-country of Australia, just isn't cutting it for him. Tired of the obesity of society, the over-rated consumerism and love-affair with materialism, Blue begins a journey to find a new life. After many attempts, each time returning home to find his footing again and refuel his resources, the author heads out on what will become a successful escape. One might think that the author's story is about escapism, but in fact, it is not. His search for a minimalistic lifestyle, where happiness is based on having enough, not excess, is quite eye-opening. Between the chapters of storytelling his adventures through the jungles of Sumatra and all the wonderful people, and excitement he encounters along the way, Blue does a nice job of weaving in his assessment of the true values in life, how to reduce the destruction of our planet's natural resources, how to live happily minus the obesity of lust for material things, and possibly, most importantly, just letting go and living one's dream. A fun book, but one with a relavent message too.

Michael Blue says of himself that he has earned a "black belt in escape" - and he certainly has, after trying many times and succeeding only a couple of years ago. Now, his escape from our consumer society is permanent, he lives on a different plane from you and me, leading a "minimalist" life where only the essential needs are met - you could say Blue has embraced an alternative sustainable lifestyle, and in this book, he tells you why and how he did it. And he leaves you instructions on how you can do it too.Not that I am about to, this is not my life choice. But I thoroughly enjoyed the book, especially his "adventures" in escape. The opening chapter in particular is a masterpiece: It is deeply moving, all about the loss of a child and the feeling of helplessness it engenders. Michael Blue is a talented wordsmith: You cannot not be moved. And he forces you to ask yourself some questions about your own life - always the mark of a good writer.Yet, given the lifestyle Michael Blue has embraced (living in a bus, drifting across Sumatra), I wouldn't be surprised if some would describe him as a "mobile hobo". But that doesn't capture it at all. Apart from being deeply reductive, what Blue is concerned about are all the Big Questions - questions that have haunted humanity since the beginning of History. Why are we here? How can we best live to achieve happiness without destroying our world? What does happiness even mean? These are fundamental concerns - not something your average hobo usually talks about. Indeed, the "pursuit of happiness is even part of the American Constitution.That is what Michael Blue is focused on: the pursuit of happiness. As he put it:"We live on a finite planet where everything is ecologically connected, and yet our systems and individual behaviours do not reflect this. This becomes clearer with each passing year as we see record extinction rates with depleted and polluted forests, oceans, and all those things we depend on to live a good life. I love the mathematical equations to make it all so simple and clear (even though math has never really been my language).How Michael is choosing to live his life has awakened a dormant desire for less... for simplicity, for space, and the kind of freedom you can't buy into but you can buy out of by making a series of choices about how you live your life and see yourself on this planet.I am not yet an escapee in practice. I am only an escapee in mind and heart. Even from my little city dwelling, I have been inspired to look at the life I choose to create everyday for myself and my daughter and I have already begun to make large and small shifts that are more in alignment with my deepest values and bring me closer to "the good life."Writing a book, bringing it to fruition and sharing it with the world is one of the most generous acts. It is a gift to the world. May this gift find many homes and plant a seed deep in the psyche to bring us all back to ourselves.

If you are a nurse who works in a specialized cardiology department do not buy this. Not worth it. I was looking for more specialized information this is not at all its all stuff you can find in your medical-surgical text book.

Great book learned alot

As always, the books in this series are the informative and entertaining.

My wife has worked for quite a few years now as a nurse aide and EKG monitor tech, and we recently purchased these two books for her use in refreshing her skills in EKG and cardiovascular interpretations:EKG's for Nursing Demystified (Demystified Nursing)Cardiovascular Nursing DemystifiedThe style of these books reminds me of the 'Complete Dummies Guide to ...' series of books, which in fact are terrific books on a great variety of topics, making them readable and fun to learn.She picked these books out at our local bricks-and-mortar bookstore before we ordered them from Amazon (sorry B&N but we saved about twenty bucks in buying them here). What she liked about them was how they give a great deal of background information in understanding EKG and cardiovascular techniques, plenty of illustrations with clear explanations in how EKG traces are interpreted, and they include practice questions at the end of each chapter to test your knowledge.It looks like these books are part of a new series from this publisher, and if the other books are as useful as these two, then they are well worthwhile for healthcare workers or students preparing for a career in the field.

This think this book is rather poorly written-- I was surprised to see that there were two editors listed.The text describes physical landmarks that aren't included in the accompanying illustrations.The EKG time-based paper grid is described in the text, but the wave tracing illustrations don't show the grid."Patient Education" examples used professional jargon instead of everyday language."Practitioner" is used throughout. I understand that some (or many) diagnosticians and prescribers aren't physicians. Still, aren't all surgical practitioners surgeons?There were occasional sentences that weren't sentences.There's much to be learned from this book, but I quickly found the experience annoying, and took it back to the library.

This book is fantastic! I used it to study for my cardiac exam and it was more useful then the required book for the course. I love how the topics are broken down. The presentation makes it easy to study.
