I got this for my adult piano student who is just learning how to play hymns from the Celebration Hymnbook; she didn't like playing from the book. I looked on Amazon for a spiral bound - it was $600, I've bought used cars for less than that!. Anyway, when I came across this, at only $20 or so, I knew this would work for her. First of all, the Celebration Hymnal is great because it's got >800 hymns, worship songs, and church service ideas. Second, this format is easier not just because loose pages are better for piano use, but also she can more easily make a more readable copy if she needs to*. I recommend a sturdy box to put the pile in, and then getting plastic sleeves and a 3-ring binder for the copies you make from them, so they will last longer. I know my student is going to like this format, I only wish that it came with a perfect box to keep it in and that the pages you get were actually 8 1/2" x 11" instead of hymnal size, hence the 4 stars. *FYI, It is within copyright law to make a copy of music for ease of playing.

This loose leafe hymnal was exactly what I needed. I was finding it harder to hunt down good music on the internet and decided it would be better to have a large collection like this on hand. Truly the selections are great. The fact that you can put the sheets in your own music binder on a music stand is a big plus. I recommend a box or something to keep the large stack of paper in. Pulling sheets out as you need them works great for me. It just beats spending a long time on the internet finding sheet music to just have it all in a box ready for you to pull out. The collection is highly recommended.

This product is simply the hymnal without binding. It is the same size as the regular hymnal and is not hole-punched. I purchased to use at the organ. I can pull songs to play for preludes, etc., and tape them together with removable tape so switching songs is seamless. No flipping pages or propping the book open. (Being taped, it is also easy to quickly put up and take down multiple pages at once.) Loose-leaf format works great for this purpose.

I needed a smaller loose leaf hymnal for the organ. I play for church and I have the large accompaniment hymnal but it is too big to handle and I need to quickly turn pages when we have hymn sings. I punched holes and I had to find a binder . After looking for a binder for these smaller pages I discovered another loose leaf hymnal binder at church that would work .I suggest a Celebration loose leaf hymnal with pages an inch longer and a binder to go with it .

Loose pages enable me to put single page on music stand easily.Main problem is now I need to punch holes in all of them to put them in a binder.

While the packet does indeed contain a "loose leaf" version of this hymnal, the print quality was very poor. I needed this to be able to have a sheet of music that lays flat on the organ, but the print quality is so poor I have to copy the page using the "dark" setting on my copier to get enough print quality to use.

The copy we received had no left margin and is impossible to bind. Now we'll have to reprint each page individually for use.

I needed a Hymnal like the one our church has so I could go over the songs each week before Sunday. I will enjoy it as there are a lot of songs in there that I am not familiar with.

Nice read, would have liked more details but was a good overview the family and Russia during that time period.

I rate this as less than zero. It a is self-published book whose content appears to have been cut and pasted from the internet.

Easy read. A great book to start my study of the Romanov Dynasty.

Not really detailed, was expecting a little more

Easy to read potted history of the Romanovs. Enjoyed the machinations of power and politics. The power of many of the women of Russia also became obvious and seemed to be incongruous with the society of the day. Some things never change. Also confirmed a Russian "culture", including Putin's attitudes and actions which are obvious even today. A short and very good read.

I have been reading books about the Russian Imperial Family for years. All the books have been well documented. Good reading. Thank you frances comer
